The much-awaited reality series Selling Sunset is back with a brand new installment. Season 6 of the real estate series premiere all its episodes on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 3 am ET on Netflix. It documented the Oppenheim Group members as well as the cast navigating deals and business, while also resolving impending issues amongst them, creating much-needed drama.
In episode 1 of Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause navigated life after a public breakup with Jason Oppenheim. While she was skeptical about returning to the office, she was also disappointed with her friend and fellow castmate Mary Fitzergald for not being there for her in the aftermath of her breakup. The episode ended with a cliffhanger of whether she wanted to forgive Mary or not.

Chrishell addresses her issues with Mary and Jason on Selling Sunset
The premiere episode of Selling Sunset saw the cast members navigating their personal and professional relationships. Chrishell went to one of her fellow castmate Emma's listing to talk about how she was doing in life after taking a brief break from the office.
The duo discussed Chrishell's new relationship with G-Flip. The former explained how she already had a "construct" set up in her head about being straight, but eventually broadened her horizons to explore things with the singer, and confessed to being really happy in the relationship.
When Emma asked her Selling Sunset castmate if she was ready to return to the office, Chrishell explained that it wasn't just the awkwardness of meeting Jason after their breakup but also because of her disappointment with Mary. She explained how the latter was more on Jason's side after the breakup and didn't care to check up on her.
Speaking about her distance from Mary, Chrishell told Emma:
"To go from being sisters to acquaintances, I don't know if we can work past, and you know, get it back as it was before."
Jason, for his part, was speaking to Mary in the Selling Sunset premiere when he confessed to wanting to bring his ex-girlfriend Chrishell back into the office as he loves her as a friend even though he hadn't spoken to her much after their breakup.
By the end of the episode, Chrishell turned up for Emma's open house and had a conversation with Jason. The latter admitted to stalking his ex-girlfriend and expressed how difficult it was to move on from their breakup. Chrishell echoed the sentiments, but also moved on to discussing each other's new relationships.
Jason expressed that he was in love with his now-girlfriend Marie Lou, which Chrishell thought was a great idea. She expressed how her Selling Sunset castmate dating a 24-year-old perfectly aligned with his intention of not wanting kids anytime soon. The star also told Jason about her relationship with G-Flip.
Chrishell proceeded to talk to Mary. Ahead of their conversation, the former expressed how their dynamic was uncomfortable and wished to "clear the air." She talked to Mary about how her feelings were hurt when the latter spent more time with Jason. Mary, for her part, explained that he needed it as he had a harder time to cope from the breakup.
In a confessional on Selling Sunset, Chrishell called the reasoning "frustrating," and said:
"You know, I took a long time to move on from the breakup. But I feel like, Jason, he started acting single immediately after. I just feel like it would have been nice to feel like I'd had that friendship and support, because it wasn't easy."
When asked by a Selling Sunset producer if she would ever forgive Mary for not being there for her, Chrishell had no answer. Viewers will have to watch the rest of the season to see if things work out between the two.
Selling Sunset has successfully run its course for five successful seasons and has established itself to be the most popular real estate shows on the platform. Season 6 saw the return of cast members including the Oppenheim brothers, Brett and Jason.
Fellow castmates include female realtors Christell Stause, Heather El Moussa, Davina Potratz, Mary Fitzgerald, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, and Amanzo Smith. They were accompanied with Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young as newcomers.
