Cindy Berman, born around 1959-1960, was Ziggy's older sister and a camp counselor at Camp Nightwing. She dated Tommy, who later became the killer. There was a mysterious rift between Cindy and Alice from their childhood, possibly related to an incident when they were twelve. Cindy was skeptical about the curse haunting Shadyside and wanted to leave, causing tension with her sister. Cindy's strained relationship with Ziggy worsened when she expressed her desire to leave, and Ziggy wished something bad would happen to her. This led to a heated argument where Ziggy called her a monster. Cindy's murder occurred a week after a camp photo was taken, possibly on July 12, 1978, as indicated in the picture.

Cindy first appeared cleaning outhouses with Tommy and later found Alice and Arnie in a compromising situation. Mary interrupted them, attempting to kill Tommy, but Cindy witnessed his fall. They reported this to the police. Following an incident involving a book, Cindy and Tommy chased Alice and Arnie. In the cave, Tommy brutally attacked Arnie with an axe. Cindy and Alice fled to survive. Cindy's strained relationship with her sister was acknowledged when Ziggy talked about her to Nick.

Cindy was helpless as she watched Tommy murder Alice, and she and Ziggy sought to break the curse. However, they both met a tragic end. Cindy's life was cut short by Tommy, ironically, after she had threatened to kill him if he didn't stop teasing her.
