Recently, rapper OG 2 Low accidentally shot himself on the 1 on 1 W/ Mike D live podcast. The podcast uploaded on YouTube on December 31, 2024, showcases 2 Low talking to Mike and sliding his hand inside his pocket, after which the sound of a gunshot was heard, making it clear the rapper accidentally fired his gun on himself.

Videos of the incident went viral on X, wherein netizens indulged in a debate about weapon safety and also compared 2 Low's act of accidentally shooting himself to that of Cheddar Bob in the 2002 movie 8 Mile. Portrayed by Evan Jones, Cheddar Bob is one of Jimmy's (Eminem) friends and a part of his gang "The 313 Crew".

In one of the scenes, Jimmy and his friend were involved in a fight with a rival gang called "Tha Free World" wherein Cheddar Bob started waving his gun around. This creates panic and Jimmy asks Cheddar Bob to put his gun away. While putting the gun back inside his pants, Bob accidentally fires it on his foot.

Comparing Cheddar Bob's act to that of OG 2 Low, netizens tweeted comments like:

Who is OG 2 Low? Rapper's early life, career, and more details explored

As per Wiki Fandom, OG 2 Low aka Cedric White is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. The rapper has attended high schools like Dick Dowling middle school, Contemporary Learning Center, and James Madison High School.

Starting his rap career at the age of 12, 2 Low was signed to the record label Rap-A-Lot in 1992, post which his debut album Funky Lil Brotha was released in 1993 when he was 13. The rapper's debut album garnered success in the market wherein it sold over 150,000 CDs and tapes within the first nine months of release.

According to SoundCloud, OG 2 Low performed at live concerts and nightclubs in approximately 23 states wherein hats, T-shirts, and other collectibles featuring the rapper's name were sold. Additionally, he also performed on multiple albums recorded by Rap-A-Lot artists like Scarface, Odd Squad, and Geto Boys.

In 1995, OG 2 Low filed a lawsuit against Rap-A-Lot records in federal court. He accused the label and its executives of breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and negligence. The rapper accused the label of failure to pay for his debut album, merchandise, and performances. However, the lawsuit resulted in an out-of-court settlement in 1996 for an undisclosed amount.

While 2 Low entered the rap domain early on, he got influenced and involved in street life with numerous gun and drug cases registered against him. This damaged his rap career as well as his childhood.
