Fox News star Dr. Kelly Powers recently passed away on December 1, 2024, after a long struggle with a form of brain cancer called glioblastoma at the age of 45. She was diagnosed with the disease four years ago, and gained recognition for being a part of shows such as The Willis Report.
An obituary of Powers was also shared through Legacy on Tuesday, December 3, and it praised Kelly by stating:
"She was a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends anywhere she went. Kelly had a love for people and she was dedicated to helping others. She held many hobbies including gardening, surfing, ballet, biking, running, horseback riding, travel, and several more activities."
Social media platforms were also flooded with tributes as soon as the news of Dr. Kelly Powers' demise broke. Entrepreneur and commercial real estate specialist Judy Sahagian shared a Facebook post to express her grief, with two photos and a clip, featuring the moments she shared with Kelly.
"Despite facing numerous challenges, including cancer and heart issues, Kelly's courage, humor, and generosity of spirit inspired countless others to live each day with purpose and passion."
Dr. Kelly Powers' obituary disclosed that her funeral is scheduled on December 6 at the Tower Hill Church, Red Bank at 11 am. Kelly's family additionally requested everyone to make donations to Stache Strong in her memory.
Apart from being a journalist, she pursued a career as a podiatric surgeon. Kelly was featured as a commentator at Fox News for a long time and appeared on their talk show, Red Eye. She was also seen in many segments addressing the health risks that were common among Americans.

According to her obituary on Legacy, she completed graduation at the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. She finished her further studies at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and the University of San Francisco.
In between pursuing a successful career, Dr. Kelly Powers had to struggle with her health, which started in 2018 when she began having a lot of pain in the back and chest followed by breathing problems. She was eventually diagnosed with pericardial effusion, as reported by Preferred Health magazine.
While speaking to the magazine last year, Kelly recalled that she had once contracted a heart disease after her gallbladder was removed. She claimed that the heart problem she had was common among people who were older than her.
Dr. Kelly Powers' health issues took a worse turn in July 2020 when she began having headaches and had to be hospitalized when she passed out at her residence. She then underwent surgery after a CT scan disclosed that she had glioblastoma. Kelly even addressed how she used her experience to help her patients.
"I encourage them to be their best advocate and get as many opinions as they need to make the right decisions for every aspect of their health. You have to make sure you have the best care around – whether it's your surgeon or practicing doctor. Ask all the questions," she said.
In between battling her health problems, Kelly decided to expand her family through surrogacy. Powers recalled her surgeon telling her that she was supposed to have a child and said:
"I woke up and I just felt amazing! Even though I wound up with lower right quadrant blindness in my eye, I could still see, I could talk, and I knew I was having a baby boy. His existence just inspired me to fight and survive through everything."
Dr. Kelly Powers' is survived by her husband Steven Doll, a son named Bennett, and other family members, including her parents and in-laws.
