Singer, songwriter, and actress Tamar Braxton took to her Instagram Live on September 3 and threw shade at her now-alleged former fiancé Jeremy “JR” Robinson, accusing him of infidelity and credit card fraud, among other things. She claimed that Robinson, who is a lawyer, cheated on her with a 25-year-old woman which she reportedly discovered from the receipts of an unauthorized charge on her credit card.
Tamar Braxton explained how she was “chilling” at home watching TV on August 30, when an online notification popped up on her phone, signaling her card was being used at the Four Seasons hotel in New Orleans.
The Braxton Family Values alum added how upon enquiry, one of the hotel employees seemingly informed her team that Jeremy had a room booked under his own name and a guest named Ms. Jay.
Amid these allegations, Jeremy Robinson has come forward and refuted them while claiming that he had been “single” for the past six months and was on the verge of recovering his friendship with Tamar Braxton.
For those unaware, Tamar and Jeremy met on the reality dating show Queen’s Court last year where they got engaged on the season finale in March 2023. Since then, they have had an on-again off-again relationship.
Later, in December last year, they reconciled and got engaged for a second time. Last month, Braxton made a cryptic post on Instagram and mentioned she was “single and sad,” hinting at a breakup.
Exploring Tamar Braxton’s accusations against Jeremy Robinson
Earlier this week, Tamar Braxton blasted her ex-fiancé Jeremy Robinson during a live session on social media. She accused him of cheating on her with a woman named Jailyn H (@whohatesjay on Instagram) and claimed that he spent time at a New Orleans luxury hotel with her recently when she was allegedly at home.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner showed a screenshot of the alert on her phone for the amount of $1,151.26, dated August 30, 4:07 pm. She said that Jeremy Robinson used her credit card to pay for the room without seeking her permission.
“Now I don’t know what y’all want me to do with that. Cause when I had asked him about it, you [Robinson] get nasty with me and tell me, go take your meds,” Tamar said on the IG Live.
Later, she also claimed that Jeremy didn’t respect the “understanding of our friendship,” mocked her, and gave her a lot of attitude, when she confronted him about the charge.
In a follow-up post, Tamar Braxton further accused her ex-fiancé of having s*xual relations with other women before they got “married.” However, so far, there is no evidence or media reports about them tying the knot.
Not only that but the Love and War artist posted a screenshot of the Instagram feed of the Houston-based influencer and model, Jailyn H.
“Payed IN MY FACE for a 25-year-old!!!!! Smh tool my jewelry took me to Turks and all along had a WHOLE TR*MP I hate you @jeremyrobinson,” she wrote on the text inside the image.
Elsewhere, Tamar Braxton made multiple posts on her Instagram Stories. In one, she wrote, “Certified lover boy… you know the rest,” while in another she reshared a tweet, originally posted by @TheOracleReadsU.
“Eventually, you will realize that the universe is forcing you to be alone so that you can start depending on yourself and remove the unhealthy attachments you place on others. It’s time to start putting all that energy back into yourself and becoming the best version of you,” it read.
The Grammy nominee also demanded that Jeremy Robinson give her back all the gifts she gave him over the years, including a “chain, pendant, and platinum presidential Rolex.” She also mentioned how the “real story” about JR would be up on her YouTube soon.
Jeremy Robinson issued a statement dismissing Tamar Braxton’s claims
As soon as Jeremy Robinson caught the wind of Tamar Braxton’s allegations, he took to Instagram and issued a clarification on September 4. He uploaded a video which was captioned:
“'JR, just let it go – show some grace!’ Well, sometimes grace requires defending yourself. I’ve always been accountable for my failures and spoken about why they impacted me and other people. I’m not going to let a false narrative attack me, my family, and/or the foundation I’ve worked so hard to protect. So, here is how I feel about the situation.”
As for the video, he denied the infidelity allegations adding that he has never been unfaithful to any woman. The criminal defense attorney claimed that Tamar Braxton’s accusations were “delusions” and he has been single for at least half a year and was attempting to forge a friendship with his ex-fiance.
JR explained that he set boundaries with her and only invited the Winter Loversland songstress to his birthday party last month and accepted an extravagant gift of gold and diamond-studded pendant as a friendship gesture.
The personal injury lawyer insisted that their meeting was in no way a step towards reconciliation, nor did he lead Tamar Braxton on.
Robinson also addressed the unauthorized credit card charges allegations and mentioned that he was in New Orleans for a “funeral” and not on a date. Additionally, he alleged that he mixed up her card information with his own, as the last three digits were the same.
JR wrapped up by slamming Braxton for getting Jailyn H involved and claimed she was a “random woman” who he recently followed on social media and nothing more.
According to Jeremy, neither did he ever meet the woman nor have they ever been in touch, and such random name-dropping could have potential “defamation” issues.
He also mentioned how the hotel resolved the card issue as soon as it was raised and announced that he was “done” with both the romantic relationship and the friendship with Tamar.
“You don’t just go on social media and start attacking somebody that you claim you love, that you care for as a friend. Then you post pictures of you and my daughters together, but then you’re throwing their dad under the bus. It’s not cool,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Jailyn H also addressed the rumors circulating online and wrote in the comment section of The Jasmine Brand’s post on IG:
“There is no tea here. There is no truth to this. These allegations are absolutely insane and have consequences. Tamar, you are WRONG!”
Besides, the woman also shared a couple of cryptic posts on her IG Stories on Wednesday. One was that of a screenshot of Astronic’s popular song I’m Suing You, while the other was the viral video featuring Karlie Redd saying, “It was all a lie,” during an episode of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta.
