Camp McDonald's was a campaign that McDonald's launched in July 2022. In the campaign, the company announced a special menu, some merch, and other major surprises that they had in store for the fans via a press release.

McDonald's has been a hit since day 1. It was founded in 1940 and as of this date, the company owns the largest fast-food restaurant chain all around the world. They serve around 69 million people in 100+ countries daily. It's pretty evident that the major contribution behind McDonald's popularity is its amazing marketing and publicity content.

From just targeting kids, to successfully pulling in the young adult crowd as a target market, McDonald's has been on their A game since the beginning.

Complete details about Camp McDonald's

To summarize the campaign, McDonald's launched 'Camp McDonald's' which offers numerous good deals, merch drops, menu hacks, and special performances for its fans. The campaign was held between July 5 to July 31, it was a total of 27 days and was made available on the brand's app.

McDonald's collaborated with other brands like Innisfree and MA®KET to release non-food merchandise. To avail of the offers and special perks provided, the customers were needed to make at least a $1 minimum purchase.

Announcing the campaign, McDonald's' press release read, "Mark your calendars, because McDonald’s has your pass to the event of the summer. Starting July 5, we're opening the doors to Camp McDonald’s – and no, it’s nothing like camp as you know it. It's a virtual camp experience featuring the hottest lineup of food deals, menu hacks, limited-edition merch, and music performances from amazing artists."

How many days was the Camp McDonald's campaign on for?

As mentioned above, the campaign ran for 27 days. It began on July 5th and continued running till 31st July. As of now the campaign is not working and has been shut down. Each day there was some activity that took place during the campaign. On the last day, there was an exclusive in-app performance featuring Kid Cudi.

What is another successful campaign that McDonald's ran?

Before this, McDonald's also successfully collaborated with the world-famous South Korean boy band, BTS. They made a meal that was dedicated solely to the boys, the meal consisted of a box of 10-piece chicken McNuggets along with two dipping sauces, Cajun and Sweet Chili (both the sauces have a different level of heat and taste) that were inspired by South Korea. The meal also comprised medium fries and a medium coke.

During the same campaign, while collaborating with the K-pop singers, McDonald's also came up with items like shoes, hoodies, bags, socks, and bathrobes. All these items were purple in color (the signature color code of BTS) and had a McDonald's logo on them.
