The west coast rapper Snoop Dogg introduced his own breakfast cereal, Snoop Loopz.

The iconic artist's breakfast treat, will be offered by his Broadus Foods company, which he co-owns with fellow business tycoon and rapper Master P. The gluten-free cereal was introduced on Instagram on August 13, 2022, by Master P, who is also a partner in the snack company Rap Snacks. He told fans that it has "more corn, more flavor, and more marshmallows" than other comparable brands.

The product's website claims that the fiber and vitamin D in the multigrain cereal have been enhanced. Additionally, a range of breakfast items bearing the "Mama Snoop" brand are offered by Snoop's Broadus Foods firm, including cereal, oatmeal, grits, pancake mix, and syrup. According to the company's website, sales benefit a number of charitable organizations.

Is Snoop Loopz being renamed?

Snoop Dogg's Snoop Loopz cereal line is being forced to adopt a new name. The rapper, who earlier this year started selling Snoop Loopz under his and partner Master P's Broadus Foods company, revealed the sad news in a post on his Instagram page.

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s my name,” The native of Long Beach explained their desire to diversify the market in the caption of a video showing himself and Master P holding boxes of Snoop Loopz.

“We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. Our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment."

The rapper went on to say, “Times have changed. There’s enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us; we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs. We’re no longer just being consumers; we’re educating the culture, building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth.”

He pledged to fulfill their mission to have Snoop Loopz and their other products compete with the leading names in the industry as he concluded his message. “Broadus Foods is all about helping the community,” he said. “It’s official: We’re taking over the breakfast food industry. They can’t stop us. It’s David versus Goliath. @masterp and I got the slingshot. This is a minor setback for a major comeback. #GodsPlan What do YOU think we should name our new cereal?”

Even though Snoop and Master P didn't specify the business when discussing the name change, it's likely that Kellogg's may have objected. The brand trademark for “Fruit Loops,” a name that is very similar to Snoop Loopz, has been owned by the breakfast food giant for more than three decades.

What other business ventures does Snoop Dogg own?

Broadus has been a prominent investor and businessman. He was named the creative chairman of Priority Records in 2009. An app called Snoopify, developed by Broadus and his brand manager Nick Adler, allows users to add stickers to photos that feature Snoop's face, joints, or walrus hat.

In May, Adler created the app after learning about stickers in Japan. The app was making $30,000 in weekly sales as of 2015. Reddit raised $50 million in a funding round in October 2014 that was overseen by Sam Altman and included Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Snoop Dogg, and Jared Leto as participants.

Broadus joined Eaze, a California-based marijuana delivery startup that claims to deliver medical marijuana to customers' doorsteps in less than 10 minutes, as a minority investor in April 2015. Eaze was Broadus's first investment venture. Broadus debuted Merry Jane, his brand-new digital media company that specializes in marijuana news, in October 2015. "Merry Jane is cannabis 2.0," he said in a promotional video for the media source. “A crossroads of pot culture, business, politics, and health.”

In this way, Broadus made history as the first well-known celebrity to brand and promote a line of acceptable marijuana-related goods.

Broadus reportedly considered buying Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles out of bankruptcy on March 30, 2016, according to a report. Broadus entered the video game industry in 2019 by founding the "Gangsta Gaming League," his own esports league. It was revealed that Broadus had joined the FaZe Clan and would serve on their Board of Directors on March 7, 2022.
