The west coast rapper Snoop Dogg introduced his own breakfast cereal, Snoop Loopz.
The iconic artist's breakfast treat, will be offered by his Broadus Foods company, which he co-owns with fellow business tycoon and rapper Master P. The gluten-free cereal was introduced on Instagram on August 13, 2022, by Master P, who is also a partner in the snack company Rap Snacks. He told fans that it has "more corn, more flavor, and more marshmallows" than other comparable brands.
The product's website claims that the fiber and vitamin D in the multigrain cereal have been enhanced. Additionally, a range of breakfast items bearing the "Mama Snoop" brand are offered by Snoop's Broadus Foods firm, including cereal, oatmeal, grits, pancake mix, and syrup. According to the company's website, sales benefit a number of charitable organizations.
Is Snoop Loopz being renamed?
Snoop Dogg's Snoop Loopz cereal line is being forced to adopt a new name. The rapper, who earlier this year started selling Snoop Loopz under his and partner Master P's Broadus Foods company, revealed the sad news in a post on his Instagram page.
“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s my name,” The native of Long Beach explained their desire to diversify the market in the caption of a video showing himself and Master P holding boxes of Snoop Loopz.
“We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. Our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment."
The rapper went on to say, “Times have changed. There’s enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us; we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs. We’re no longer just being consumers; we’re educating the culture, building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth.”
He pledged to fulfill their mission to have Snoop Loopz and their other products compete with the leading names in the industry as he concluded his message. “Broadus Foods is all about helping the community,” he said. “It’s official: We’re taking over the breakfast food industry. They can’t stop us. It’s David versus Goliath. @masterp and I got the slingshot. This is a minor setback for a major comeback. #GodsPlan What do YOU think we should name our new cereal?”
Even though Snoop and Master P didn't specify the business when discussing the name change, it's likely that Kellogg's may have objected. The brand trademark for “Fruit Loops,” a name that is very similar to Snoop Loopz, has been owned by the breakfast food giant for more than three decades.
