Megyn Kelly recently criticized Blake Lively after the latter was included in the list of the most influential people of the year by Time100. Notably, Kelly spoke against the actress while appearing on the red carpet of the Time100 gala on April 24, 2025, as per Page Six.

The event was held in New York City, and while criticizing Blake in an interview with the Daily Mail, Megyn was heard referring to the Green Lantern star’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni since December last year. Kelly said that the allegations made by Blake against Justin have “fallen apart.”

Megyn Kelly also described Blake Lively’s selection by Time100 as a “ridiculous joke” and continued:

“She shouldn’t be here. She has no influence over anything.”

The political commentator mentioned that it was a “scandal” considering that Blake Lively is being honored by Time100 after everything she did with Justin Baldoni, allegedly trying to ruin his reputation. Megyn further stated:

“Obviously, [Time is] looking for big stars to come here and generate pages on their magazines, but that was very wrong.”

Apart from that, Megyn Kelly jokingly said that she was expecting to get a picture with Blake and Meghan Markle, adding that the duo has managed to bring the best content to her show. Megyn claimed that the Gossip Girl star might ignore her in some way, as she stated:

“I have a feeling [Lively is] going to be avoiding me. I won’t be avoiding anybody. I’m good.”

However, the Saturday Night Live star expressed her happiness about the same in an Instagram post shared on April 17, 2025. Blake added the photo of a few words written by lawyer and professor Sherrilyn Ifill, saying she knows Lively for her philanthropic work. Ifill also mentioned:

“I’m always curious about the kind of research famous people do before they make that cold call to offer their support. The ones I have remained in relationship with are those who, like Blake, really did their homework. I admired immediately her curiosity, and her sincere work to understand the conditions that shape the country.”
