Cuban-Spanish actress Ana De Armas made headlines on November 20 after photos of her kissing Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, surfaced online. The duo was spotted getting cozy in public in Madrid last week.

According to the Spanish-language magazine ¡Hola!, Ana and Manuel went out for dinner at an Italian restaurant called Numa Pompilio accompanied by a group of friends. Later in the night, they took a stroll with her dog Salsa around the city, holding each other’s arms before sharing a kiss on a sidewalk near a local park.

Amid this revelation, fans of Ana De Armas are raising eyebrows in response to her new-found romance. For instance, Reddit user @transitionshade wrote in the comments of @planesandpancakes’ post on the @r/popculturechat community.

“Ana has bad taste in men, but this is on another level of wrong. What’s next? Dating Maduro?” the user asked.

The Redditor was seemingly mocking Armas for dating the Cuban President’s stepson and claimed that with “her bad taste in men,” she might even end up with the Venezuelan President, Nicholas Maduro.

Many people joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on the social media platform X.

“While promoting her movie Ana De Armas stopped by every Hollywood talk show to talk about how she could barely eat whilst living in Cuba and now she’s dating the stepson of the tyrant that runs the dictatorship by keeping them hungry? Now that’s a plot twist,” a person wrote.

So far, neither Ana De Armas nor Manuel Anido Cuesta has officially confirmed their relationship. She has, however, limited her comments on Instagram. The Eden star reportedly visited Cuba several times this year, including February, May, and August.
