What is Modern Family?
Modern Family is an American comedy-drama sitcom that was created by Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd. The show's mockumentary style of filming was the highlight of the series, as the characters were shown frequently speaking directly to the camera in confessional interview segments during each of its episodes.
The show is based on three families who are interrelated to each other through Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire Pritchett, and his son Mitchell Pritchett. The show not only focuses on three families coming together but also focuses on their individual lives and how to tackle all the hurdles with ease.
The series shows three different types of families (nuclear, blended, and same-sex) living in the Los Angeles area. As the name suggests, the family represents a modern-day family and each episode is inspired by situations that many families encounter in real life.

Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cam are seen celebrating buying their new house along with their newly adopted baby Redford. During the housewarming party, Cam receives a call and gets to know that the coaching job at Missouri is open and he can reapply for it. Whereas in Jay and Gloria's life, Gloria is preparing to say goodbye to her son Manny who is leaving to travel the world. While she and her younger son Joe will be going to Colombia to spend the summer. During everything, Gloria feels left out and not needed.
