Taco Bell is finally bringing back the Enchirito from November 17, 2022.
The discontinued Taco Bell favorite was removed from the chain’s menu in 2013. However, the company has now made an official announcement declaring the return of the Enchirito. The catch here is that the item will only be back for a limited time.
Taco Bell stated this in a recent Twitter post after fans voted for the soft tortilla roll to come back. The chain said:
“This one's all you, Team Enchirito. The Enchirito will be back for a limited time starting 11/17.”
The Enchirito is coming back next month for a brief period
The Enchirito, which is a combination of a burrito and an enchilada, is a Taco Bell specialty made up of a flour tortilla filled with beef, bean, and onion filling. The delicacy is then coated in sauced and melted cheddar cheese.
After Taco Bell removed the two loved dishes from their menu, fans voted for their favorite among the two to bring it back. The results of the poll were clear - the Enchirito outshone the Double Decker Taco.
The results came after a week of voting, as the polling post was made live on September 27, 2022, and the results were monitored till October 7, 2022. At the same time, the company reported that more than 760,000 fans voted in the poll.
With more than 62% of the votes, Enchirito is all set to make its entry back on the menu of Taco Bell on November 17, 2022. However, the cross dish between the burrito and the enchilada will only be back for a brief period worldwide, so fans should act quickly and order as soon as it hits the Taco Bell kitchen.
Netizens on cloud nine after hearing about the comeback of the Enchirito in Taco Bell
After the news of Taco Bell's Enchirito's return hit social media, fans rejoiced as many have been waiting for this Mexican dish's comeback for a long time. One Twitter user said:
“Dear @tacobell, I recently heard that you're bringing back the enchirito I cannot be happier. I remember this from my childhood & it's my older sister's all-time menu favorite. I hope that it will still have green onions on top. Also, I hope you sell them in doubles.”
Others also insisted that Taco Bell should roll out the dish sooner, as waiting for another month would not be possible for them. One social media user wrote:
“Hey, @tacobell, can we bring back the Enchirito on OCTOBER 17 instead of Nov. 17? I don't know if I can wait another month...Sincerely, A desperate fan.”
The item has been a favorite of Taco Bell goers since the 1970s when it was first launched. The item was then discontinued in 2013. However, fans can now enjoy the add-on by either ordering online, through the app, or visiting the nearest Taco Bell restaurant.
