When is The Boys season 4 coming out?

While there is no confirmed release date for The Boys season 4, it is predicted that the show will return for another season by mid-2024.

The Boys is an American satirical superhero television series created by writer and TV producer Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video. Like many other superhero movies and shows, The Boys is also based on a comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The show gives a very dark and parallel twist to the term superhero. While many consider superheroes to be saviours, in Kripke’s show, the worshipped heroes are shown in a much more sinister light.

With the right amount of gore, action, and drama, The Boys was a massive hit amongst the audience after season one was released back in 2019. The success led the producers to green-lit the show for seasons two and three. Just like its season one, the second and third seasons were also a hit amongst the fans and critics. Now the huge fan base of the show is eagerly awaiting the release of season four.

What will season 4 of The Boys be about?

The third season of The Boys ended with much intense drama and fights between Soldier Boy, Homelander, Billy Butcher, and his gang. With Black Noir being killed by Homelander and Queen Maeve saving everyone from Soldier Boy going nuclear on everyone, the show ended with only three superheroes remaining as the members of The Seven. Those are Homelander, A-Train, and The Deep.

Many are now eager to know the future for The Seven and how much more havoc Homelander is ready to create just to satiate his maniac needs and insecurities. Fans also want to know what Billy Butcher and the gang are plotting to take down the supes after their failed try. From the new cast members to the further plot, there is a lot to know about the upcoming season of The Boys.

Although the makers have not shared much information on the same, the creator of the show Eric Kripke shared some exciting insights on the future season. During an interview with IGN, Kripke said, [Vought] has a lot of rebuilding to do physically and literally with the tower itself, but also with bringing in new members of The Seven.” To add to this excitement, the show’s VFX supervisor and associate producer Stephan Fleet indirectly disclosed in a tweet that season four would be much grosser than the previous ones.

Fleet said, “I think I just saw the most disgusting thing I have seen working in this business thus far."

One of the biggest additions to the show is Jeffery Dean Morgan as the actor is all set to work alongside Jensen Ackles after their work in CW’s Supernaturals. There are also two new supes in the show, with Susan Heyward as Sister Sage and Valorie Curry as Firecracker.

Another addition to the show would be Rosemarie Dewitt as the actress is set to play Hughie’s mother in the show. As per reports, Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, and other unidentified cast members are also set to feature in the show.
