The Bikeriders is yet to be released theatrically and thus fans need to wait to until the movie is on the big-screens.

The 2023 American drama film, The Bikeriders was written and directed by Jeff Nichols and is inspired by the 1967 photo book of the same name by Danny Lyon. The film, starring a huge star-cast ensemble, first premiered as the opening film of the 50th Telluride Film Festival on August 31, 2023. Later the makers decided to release the film on 1st December 2023.

However, due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, as per Variety, the film has been postponed indefinitely. There is not much clarity on when the makers would make a decision to finally release the film in the theaters.

As per Variety, their chief film critic, Peter Deburge has applauded Butler and Hardy’s performance and also compared them to Marlon Brando. Deburge said, “it (The film) goes a long way to humanize figures who’ve been long misrepresented on film while giving audiences privileged access to this inner world.”

Kathy (Comer), a strong-willed member of the Vandals who’s married to a wild, reckless bike rider named Benny (Butler), recounts the Vandals’ evolution over the course of a decade, beginning as a local club of outsiders united by good times, rumbling bikes, and respect for their strong, steady leader Johnny (Hardy).

Over the years, Kathy tries her best to navigate her husband’s untamed nature and his allegiance to Johnny, with whom she feels she must compete for Benny’s attention. As life in the Vandals gets more dangerous, and the club threatens to become a more sinister gang, Kathy, Benny and Johnny are forced to make choices about their loyalty to the club and to each other.”

Is The Bikeriders available to watch online?

No, the film has not yet been released on any OTT platform yet. Hence, fans who are eagerly waiting for the film would need to wait a bit more. As per reports, the film would most likely be released either on Hulu or on Disney+. Considering the fact that 20th Century Studio and Hulu’s parent company is set to merge Hulu with Disney+ by the end of the year.
