The CBS production utilized various locations across California, including Los Angeles, Warner Brothers Burbank Studios, and Columbia/Warner Bros. Ranch. Additionally, some of the locations depicted in the show are real.

In "Young Sheldon," despite the show's portrayal of a Texas-based family in Medford, the three main real-world filming locations are actually situated in Los Angeles. These locations include Sheldon's house, Sheldon's school, and the Cooper family church.

Sheldon's home, intended to be in Medford, Texas, is, in reality, located in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. The recognizable ranch-style house, with its distinct blue color, can be found at 5501 Morella Ave, North Hollywood, CA, just three miles northwest of Warner Bros. Studio.

The second real-life filming location is Sheldon's family church, featured in the show's third episode, "Poker, Faith and Eggs." This actual church, known as the First Christian Church of North Hollywood, is situated at 4390 Colfax Ave, North Hollywood, CA, conveniently around the corner from Sheldon's house.

The third real-life filming location is Sheldon's high school, even though he's a nine-year-old genius. The high school scenes were shot at Van Nuys High School, located at 6535 Cedros Ave, Van Nuys, CA. This high school is about six miles northwest of Sheldon's house and church, contributing to the show's portrayal of the character's unique academic journey.
