For the Netflix series Wednesday, CGI was used to enhance exterior views of Cantacuzino Castle. It became the setting for the Nevermore Academy in the series.

The beautiful Botanical Gardens in Bucharest served as the greenhouse at Nevermore Academy. This was the first botanical garden established in Bucharest in 1860 and now houses 1 acre (4,000) square meters of greenhouses.
Olga Greceanu Villa
A house belonging to Olga Greceanu, a painter, exists in the countryside of Bucharest, Romania. This picturesque house became the Gates Mansion in the Wednesday series. The house was remodeled for the shoot. A double garage, a new entrance, and a new driveway were constructed while completely destroying the interior to give it a feel of an abandoned house.
