Following her separation from Bob, Bryant tied the knot with Charlie Hobson Dry.
The news of Anita Bryant's demise was confirmed in an obituary of The Oklahoman, which stated that she was at her Edmond-based residence, surrounded by her friends and family members.
Apart from that, her son William told The New York Times that she died of cancer.
Anita was born to Warren G. Bryant and Lenore Annice Bryant, and the former was employed as a tool dresser and also worked at an Air Force base. Anita developed an interest in singing during her childhood and started getting featured in various TV shows when she was a teenager.
She was also a part of different commercials for companies like Coca-Cola and her most successful album was Do You Hear What I Hear?: Christmas with Anita Bryant, which came out back in 1967. It featured 11 songs in the soundtrack and also grabbed a spot on the Billboard chart.
Anita Bryant had four children from her first marriage to Bob Green
The Barnsdall, Oklahoma native had a successful career in the music industry over the years. While her career and public image were affected by her opposition to homos*xuality, she still managed to raise four kids born from her first marriage to Bob Green.
Anita Bryant's first husband Bob Green was a DJ and he died of kidney failure at the age of 80 in January 2012. Following their marriage in 1960, Bob even served as Anita's manager, as per Windy City Times.
After they divorced in 1980, Robert opted to stay with his father, and William, Gloria, and Barbara decided to move in with Anita.
While detailed information on Anita Bryant's other three children remains unknown, Robert has been a senior copywriter. In an interview with Windy City Times, Robert was questioned if his parents' battle against gay rights led to the end of their marriage. Robert replied by saying:
"I think it just aggravated problems that they already had in their marriage that existed maybe from the beginning. I think it's telling that my dad accepted my mom's version of Christianity right around the time they got married."
A report by Bangor Daily News in 2012 revealed that Anita and Bob also established some ministries that provided deprogramming and halfway houses for those who were homos*xual. The outlet also stated that Bob had once requested Anita to reconsider their separation but Bryant was not interested in the same.
Green completed his higher studies at Trinity University and New York's School of Radio and Technique. He was employed at various places such as WJNO and WINZ-AM and discontinued his broadcasting career to work as a manager for Anita.
Anita Bryant exchanged vows with Charlie Hobson Dry in 1990. According to The Oklahoman, the latter had a successful career as a test astronaut at NASA and a military test pilot. The duo was married to each other until Bryant's recent death and did not have any children together over the years.
