Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an original net animation created by the Japanese animation studio Trigger under the supervision of CD Projekt, the maker of the video game Cyberpunk 2077. The limited series was created for Netflix and acted as a prequel to the video game which was released in 2020. Created by Rafał Jaki and Mike Pondsmith, Edgerunners was released on September 13, 2022, and was 10 episodes long.

The plot of this Netflix animated series revolves around a street kid named David Martinez who loses everything in a jiffy and ends up joining a group of mercenaries called the Edgerunners: Cyberpunks. David, along with his newfound family, navigates how to survive in technology and body modification-obsessed 'Night City'.
