The Peacekeepers are the secondary antagonist of The Hunger Games film franchise and novel series. They are the military force controlled by the Capitol and are responsible for maintaining law and order through the nation of Panem.

After President Coriolanus Snow and President Alma Coin, the next most hated characters of The Hunger Games trilogy are the Peacekeepers. These Peacekeepers are headed by a Peacekeeper who is the commander of the garrison of a district and they are the ones who bring control and repression throughout Panem. The Peacekeepers deal with criminals, rebels and dissidents, and also serve as the Capitol's foot soldiers and air force. Talking about their appearance, a Peacekeeper is always shown to be in a white uniform with full sleeves, a white helmet (resembling a biker's helmet), black leather boots and gloves, with a baton on their belt.

To make sure they maintain the terror, the Peacekeepers are armed with weapons such as an IMI TAR-21 or the FN F2000. They are also seen carrying FN P90 submachine guns at other times, while the sidearm is shown to be the Vektor CP1 pistol.

No, a Peacekeeper cannot marry. They are the ones who maintain the law and order across the nation of Panem and make sure that the people adhere to the rules sanctioned by the Capitol. A Peacekeeper has to serve the Capitol for 20 years without marriage or children. This rule is applied to the Peacekeeper enlisters who make sure they are completely dedicated to Panem and the Capitol. Hence, a Peacekeeper cannot marry to avoid loyalties elsewhere.
