Cameron Crowe recently became the father of a daughter with girlfriend Anais Smith. The well-known filmmaker already has two kids born from his first marriage to Nancy Wilson, a musician and a member of the Seattle, Washington-based band Heart.
Smith revealed the news of the baby's arrival on Instagram on Sunday, November 10. The caption of the post, which has been deleted now, said:
"Welcome to the world, Vivienne Marie Crowe (11.04.2024)."
The post included a picture of the child wearing a gray polka dot one-piece and a lace bow headband. In another photo, Vivienne was lying on Smith's chest, and Cameron Crowe appeared alongside the duo.
Smith wrote that the child has brought a lot of "love and happiness" in a week with her "joy, curiosity, bright eyes, unforgettable expressions, snuggles and affection."
"To watch you grow up and navigate this world will be the greatest gift, and your Dad and I will be there to guide you, celebrate you and have fun along the way! We love you!!!! [heart emojis]," she added.
In August 2024, Smith announced through Facebook that she and Cameron Crowe were expecting their first child by adding pictures of her baby bump. One of them featured Crowe and Smith, where the former kissed Ana's belly.
Apart from his work as a director, Crowe is known as the author of books like Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He even played minor roles in films such as The Wild Life and Minority Report.

Cameron Crowe, the Palm Springs, California native, has become a popular face for helming films such as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous. He was also the recipient of an Oscar in the category of Best Original Screenplay in 2010.
On the personal front, Cameron Crowe had two kids from his first marriage to Nancy Wilson. The duo was introduced by Heart's manager in 1982. Nancy joined the band in 1974, and throughout the years, the band released 15 albums, such as Little Queen. The band's self-titled album is the only project to reach the top spot on the Billboard chart.
Apart from the band, Nancy was featured in the comedy film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, as per Reuters. Furthermore, she has been a music composer for films like Vanilla Sky and released a solo album, Baby Guitars. Wilson even established another group, Roadcase Royale, and her first solo project, You and Me, came out in 2021.
Cameron and Nancy tied the knot in 1986 at Wilson's residence in Seattle. Their children, Curtis W. Crowe and Billy J. Crowe are active in the music industry. The brothers have been playing with a band called The Army, which includes Andrew Harrington-McGraw, Saul Hunter, and Steven Coletti.
According to Reuters, Nancy Wilson and Cameron Crowe split in 2008. Their divorce, which happened due to irreconcilable differences, was finalized around two years later. Nancy later exchanged vows with Geoff Baywater in 2012.
