Fraser Bohm, a driver who was involved in a crash in Malibu that killed four Pepperdine University students was re-arrested on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Bohm was previously released to allow detectives time to gather more evidence of the crash, which took place on October 17, 2023.
The deadly crash occurred in the 21600 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. It claimed the lives of 20-year-old Niamh Rolston, and three 21-year-olds Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams, according to ABC7.
Investigators said that Bohm allegedly lost control of his car before hitting several parked cars, which crashed into the four students while also injuring two other people. According to CBS News, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, 22-year-old Fraser Bohm faces four counts of murder and four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter.

Fraser Bohm allegedly lost control of his BMW on October 17, 2023, while speeding on a notoriously dangerous stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway. There was a collision with parked cars which then crashed into four women who were walking down the street.
Fraser Michael Bohm was arrested by the police on the day of the accident. The 22-year-old stepped out of the vehicle unharmed before being tackled by witnesses, per The New York Post.
Fraser is the youngest of three siblings and has two older sisters, 25-year-old Hunter and 24-year-old Haiden. Fraser Bohm Malibu lives in a gated estate in Malibu with his photographer mother, 57-year-old Brooke, and his two sisters. Fraser's father, 59-year-old Chris is the Vice President of Sales West at Palo Alto-based medical equipment manufacturer ReCor Medical.
Fraser is a 6'4' male weighing 190lbs, who was a highly-rated high school pitcher and played for Oaks Christian School before he graduated, as per CBS.
Fraser Bohm's mother made a down payment of $25,000 in 2017 on the BMW, while the remaining installments were paid by his dad Chris. He was gifted the vehicle by his parents on his 18th birthday, as per his parent's divorce settlement, reported by various media outlets.
Fraser gets re-arrested by the police
Bohm was originally charged with gross vehicular manslaughter but was released due to insufficient evidence.
"Fraser Bohm was released to allow detectives time to gather the evidence needed to secure the strongest criminal filing and conviction," the sherrif's department explained.
The evidence needed at the time included a toxicology report, speed analysis, and execution of search warrants. Police arrested and took Bohm back into custody on October 24, 2023, and booked him for four counts of murder and four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter. The bail amount set by the court is $8 million but was reduced to $4 million, as per ABC7.
According to the media outlet, the department has filed the charges for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office to consider. As of Tuesday, prosecutors have not filed charges against Fraser Bohm.
Sheriff's Sgt. Maria Navarro gave a statement to the media outlets that alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash after officers conducted a field sobriety test. The City of Malibu stated that a "speeding motorist" was allegedly to blame for the accident.
All the victims were part of the same sorority at Pepperdine University and were all college seniors, who were declared dead at the scene, according to CBS. Asha Weir, Deslyn Williams, Niamh Rolston, and Peyton Stewart would receive their college degrees posthumously, according to the Pepperdine University official's announcement.
The victims were set to graduate in the spring. A memorial will be placed on campus to honor them, as per the media outlet.
