The Conjuring is based on the real-life horror of the Perron family who experienced some disturbing events in their newly occupied farmhouse in Rhode Island in 1971 and how the Warren couple helped them get rid from the malevolent spirit that was haunting them by possessing Carolyn Perron the lady of the house.
