Ken Block was also a founding member of DC Shoes. He has also participated in numerous action sporting events such as skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. After selling its DC Shoes property, Block concentrated on Hoonigan Industries, a clothing brand for car lovers. He also got the glory for his "gymkhana" video series on YouTube, where he executed bold stunts in a range of vehicles. Ken Block is best known in the United Kingdom for his participation in two episodes of Top Gear.
After working together for 11 years, Hoonigan Racing Division and Ford Performance announced that they would be separated in January 2021. Block announced his return to Subaru in April and will embark on a new partnership with Audi in September for joint projects related to e-mobility.

The sheriff's department has also confirmed Block was alone at the time of the accident.
Block was a passionate action sportsman and father who competed in the 2022 American Rally Association championship with his spouse, Lucy, and their 16-year-old daughter, Lia.
