To be more precise, while majorly people think of superheroes as the saviors, in The Boys’ universe, the superheroes better known as supes, are shown to be the problematic individuals who abuse their powers.
Who is Jensen Ackles?
Jensen Ross Ackles is an American actor and musician. He was born on March 1, 1978, and is best known for playing the role of Dean Winchester in the CW show, Supernatural, which again was created by Eric Kripke. Ackles began his career by modelling from the age of four but in 1996, he decided to focus on his acting career and began starring in various TV shows such as Days of Our Lives, Mr. Rhodes, Sweet Valley High, Cybill, Dark Angel, Dawson's Creek, and Tru Calling.
His breakthrough role was in Supernatural. In the show, Ackles played the role of Dean Winchester, who was a demon hunter. He along with his brother Sam Winchester (played by Jared Padalecki) travelled throughout the states to hunt demons and devils and save humanity from the dark forces. The American dark fantasy drama television series ran for 15 seasons before coming to an end.
Ackles absolutely loved his role as Dean Winchester in the show and was pretty dedicated to the same for quite a long. During an interview, Ackles opened up on why he chose to take the role of Dean for the show. Ackles said, “When I read the script, Dean just jumped out at me. With that character there was always a bit more comedy, and a bit more recklessness, and it just appealed to me more. So when I asked to read for that, they were like, "That's what we're looking for." So it was great. I found a character that I really enjoy playing.”
Did Soldier Boy die in The Boys season 3?
No, Soldier Boy did not die in The Boys season 3. At the end of season 3 of The Boys, during a fight with Billy Butcher and the team, Soldier Boys went nuclear during the fight and to make sure no one is killed but Maeve sacrifices herself by tackling him out a window to divert the explosion.
Now many would assume that Soldier Boy died along with Maeve. However, no, as the episode was coming to an end, it was shown that Maeve and Soldier Boy were very much alive. While Maeve lost her powers, Soldier Boy was once again put back into a cryogenic slumber, under the watch of Grace Mallory.
The show’s creator, Eric Kripke is not ready to let go of Solider Boy anytime soon. The creator has made it clear that he has keep the door “100%” open for the character to return. During an interview, Kripke said, “The old TV adage is like, never kill anyone unless you really, really have to. Never close a door, open a window. We'll all have to wait and see, but I can't imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance."
