Spanish company Mango's founder Isak Andic, 71, unexpectedly passed away on December 14, 2024. His career as a businessman made him a popular face among the public and he also served as a director of a financial company, Banco Sabadell. He was married to Neus Raig Tarrago in the past and they had three children, Jonathan, Judith, and Sarah.

Notably, Andic died after falling from a ravine in the Montserrat mountains, which is popular for the caves inside, and was accompanied by his family when he was hiking at the place, as stated by El Pais. Authorities arrived at the spot a few moments later to help Andic.

A source close to CNN also reported that Andic's dead body was recovered by the authorities. However, further updates are currently awaited on the circumstances that exactly led to his demise.

Meanwhile, Mango CEO Toni Rulz shared a statement through their official website, expressing grief over Isak Andic's sudden demise. The statement mentioned that Andic was an example for everyone and continued:

"He dedicated his life to Mango, leaving an indelible mark thanks to his strategic vision, his inspiring leadership and his unwavering commitment to values that he himself imbued in our company."

The statement also mentioned:

"His legacy reflects the achievements of a business project marked by success, and also by his human quality, his proximity and the care and affection that he always had and at all times conveyed to the entire organization."

Mango wrote that Isak's death has greatly impacted everyone, and people working under him can be described as "his legacy and the testimony of his achievements." Towards the end, the statement reads that the company would remain the same for the upcoming years, as Isak wished.

Isak Andic's son Jonathan served in his father's company for a brief period

As mentioned, the Istanbul, Turkey native gained recognition as the founder of the fast-fashion company Mango. The company was launched alongside his brother Nahman back in 1984. According to The Times, the idea of starting the company emerged out of the public demand for modern and stylish outfits.

Apart from all these, Isak Andic also had a family where he raised three children, Jonathan, Judith, and Sarah. According to Academia Lab, he reportedly exchanged vows with Neus Raig Tarrago during the '70s. However, there are no details available on when they separated.

Isak was reportedly in a relationship with a few others after his divorce, including Cristina Valls-Taberner. Adriana Abascal, and Zenaida Bufill. Apart from Isak's son Jonathan, the other two children have maintained a distance from the spotlight.

The Times also stated that Jonathan began serving as a chief executive for Mango in 2014. However, Isak was forced to take over the company with a new team after the company suffered heavy losses for two years until 2018.

Jonathan will tie the knot with entrepreneur and influencer Paula Nata in the upcoming year, as reported by Mujerhoy Magazine in September this year. Paula has served as the marketing director for Rabat and launched companies like All About Management.

Isak Andic's early life and career in brief

Also known as Isak Andic Ermay, he was only 15 years old when he arrived in Barcelona. The Times stated that Isak and Nahman initially sold T-shirts to students of an American high school in Barcelona. Apart from this, he sold clothes from his car throughout the country.
