Actor John Capodice has recently passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 83. He was mostly known for playing different characters in films and TV shows, including Laundromat Vic in an episode of the NBC sitcom Seinfeld.

"Sure, all my friends thought I was nuts, but it didn't stop me. On the contrary, my mother encouraged me the most in spite of not knowing much about the acting profession."

According to his obituary on Pizzi Funeral Home, John's survivors include his wife Jane, their children Tessa De Pierro and Cassandra Hansen, and four grandchildren.

John Capodice was featured in only one season of Seinfeld

While the Chicago, Illinois native became a popular face over the years for being a part of different projects, he had a different fanbase among the viewers of Seinfeld. John Capodice's character Laundromat Vic was featured in an episode from the second season titled The Revenge.

The episode included three parallel storylines, and Laundromat Vic appeared in the second plot. Jerry prepares to enter the laundromat and is approached by Kramer, who questions him if he can take his laundry. Jerry agrees to the same.

Jerry returns Kramer's things to him the next day and then realizes that he hid some money in his laundry bag and cannot find it. Laundromat Vic enters at this point, where he claims that he has not seen the bag, adding that he is not responsible for someone's valuables.
