Ramos had been an anchor for the US-based Spanish-language free-to-air TV network for nearly forty years. So far, the exact reason behind his decision remains undisclosed.

“This is not a farewell. I will continue anchoring Noticiero Univision until December, and afterward, I will share my professional plan. I am deeply grateful for these four decades at Univision and very proud to be part of a team that has established strong leadership over the years,” the 66-year-old stated.

The network, a part of the larger TelevisaUnivision, also shared that Ramos and the company had 'mutually agreed not to renew their soon-to-expire contract.' They added that he would continue in his role to cover the 2024 U.S. presidential election in November.

As we look to 2025 and beyond, our talented team is well equipped to continue the tradition of journalistic excellence that has defined Noticiero Univision since the beginning,” President Daniel Coronell shared in a statement.
