On October 18, 2024, an X account, @joma_gc, tweeted that Kamala Harris had reportedly yelled at her campaign manager, Julie Chavez, for 30 minutes. The tweet mentioned that Harris expressed discontent over Julie's advice for Harris to skip the AI Smith dinner that took place on October 17, 2024.

Julie Chávez Rodríguez is the granddaughter of César Chávez, the founder of the United Farm Workers Union. She began her career as a program director at the César Chávez Foundation and worked on her first political campaign in 2008 by serving in Barack Obama's presidential campaign in Colorado.

Moreover, she joined the Obama administration as the director of youth employment in the Department of the Interior, and as deputy press secretary to former Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar. Julie also worked as a special assistant to Barack Obama and in the Office of Public Engagement as a senior deputy director of public engagement.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Latin American studies, Julie Chavez Rodriguez is Kamala Harris' campaign manager for the 2024 Presidential elections. She was also the campaign manager for Joe Biden before he withdrew himself from the race. Julie was a senior assistant and advisor to Joe Biden and the director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs during the first half of Biden's administration.

"Harris screamed at and angrily berated her campaign manager"— X user

X user @joma_gc mentioned in a tweet that there was "major drama" surrounding the Kamala Harris campaign on the morning of October 18, 2024:

"A source reveals that Harris screamed at and angrily berated her campaign manager Julie Chavez for over 30 minutes on the phone this morning."

The X user said that the mentioned source revealed how Julie Chavez advised Kamala Harris not to attend the AI Smith dinner as it could "send the wrong message and risk alienating LGBTQ and pro-abortion voters" if Harris was seen getting comfortable with Catholics.

The AI Smith dinner is a charity event in New York that raises money for Catholic charities. Usually, during the presidential election year, both candidates attend the dinner and are given a chance to express themselves. According to Times Now, the presidential nominees attending the AI Smith dinner showcase that they can exist together regardless of their differences.

As per the X user's account, upon Julie Chavez's advice , Harris skipped the event and sent a video that was described as "poorly received" in the tweet. While Kamala Harris sent a video message at the AI Smith dinner, her opponent Donald Trump attended with his wife Melania Trump.

The X user also mentioned in his tweet:

"Chavez was in tears during the phone call as Kamala shred her to pieces, called her an idiot, inept, horrible at your f-ing job, and told her that her stupid advice is going to be the reason she loses."

In other news, Trump attended the AI Smith dinner where he delivered a speech attacking Kamala Harris for being absent. He took a dig at Harris stating that if they wanted the Vice President to accept the invitation, they should've told her that the funds raised from the dinner were going to bail out rioters and looters in Minneapolis.

Additionally, Trump asked attendees of the AI Smith dinner to remember that he was there and Harris wasn't.
