Nintendo has recently disclosed that Kevin Afghani will be the new voice for Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The character was previously voiced by Charles Martinet, who announced his exit through an official statement in August this year.

Nintendo also revealed the news in an email, as per The Verge. However, the company has yet to confirm if Kevin Afghani will remain the voice for Mario and Luigi in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. series projects.

The Independent states that Charles Martinet announced his departure from Super Mario as the voice of Mario on August 21, 2023. The outlet revealed that Nintendo confirmed the news in a statement through X,
"Charles is now moving into the brand-new role of Mario ambassador. With this transition, he will be stepping back from recording character voices for our games, but he'll continue to travel the world sharing the joy of Mario and interacting with you all!"
