The creator of the Mighty Magiswords series, Kyle Carrozza, was arrested on June 20, 2024. News of the Cartoon Network developer’s arrest became public on July 14, 2024, after X user @NicoColaleo addressed the same on the social networking site. It has been alleged that the 45-year-old is facing child p*rnography charges.

Kyle Adam Carrozza was arrested in Burbank, California, on two counts of child p*rnography possession. The arrest was made by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The show creator has been charged under California penal code 311.11(a) and 311.11(c), where individuals get booked for knowingly possessing at least 12 videos or 600 images of explicit children’s content.

For those uninitiated, Kyle Carrozza is an American animator, writer, and voice actor best known for his work with Cartoon Network. Not only did he create the aforementioned series, but he also voiced the leading character of Prohyas.

He also voiced other characters in the show, including Zombie Pumpkin Magisword, Grup the Dragon, Nohyas, Goomer, Fankylo, and The Undergound Hand Beast, among others.

Kyle Carrozza graduated from Catskill High School and the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

The animator worked on Warner Bros.’ series Animaniacs. While working at Fantasimation Inc. later on, he produced content for the Da Heist cartoon.

Carrozza is best known for creating Mighty Magiswords which was Cartoon Network’s first ever online original series. The web shorts premiered online on May 6, 2015, with an interactive game also being created about the same.

After being a short online series, it was made into a full-length television series. The show ended on May 17, 2019.

A few of his other projects include MooBeard the Cow Pirate, Random! Cartoons, Catscratch, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Fish Hooks, Doc McStuffins, Ralphy Panda in Half Baked Ditz, Danger Rangers, and Bravest Warriors, among others.

His work with Nickelodeon also included designing Metalhead from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series. He also contributed to Paramount’s The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

Kyle Carrozza also started his own comic book series, Clare’s Stupid Life and Ninja High School.

As per his official website, he has also created content that did not make it to television. He created a music video for Veronique Chevalier’s song Internet Date. He also made a webcomic called Frog Racoon Strawberry, which he created alongside John Berry.

The animator also dabbled in music and created songs with The FuMP.

Kyle Carrozza is married to Lindsay Smith.

If Kyle Carrozza is charged with the offenses, he can face up to five years in state prison. If found guilty, he will also be ordered to register himself as a s*x offender with law enforcement.
