Dancing Queens season 1 is all set to premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, May 9, featuring Sabrina Strasser and five other dancers. According to sneak peeks, the storyline of Sabrina will revolve around her comeback to dance competitions with her dance partner Stanislav “Stas” Kochergin. While she is a wonderful dancer, she started it as a hobby but now is the founder of SabiChic, a company that sells products for “dancers and busy women alike.”

However, Sabrina went through different career phases before starting her own company. According to her business website, she has had careers in broadcast journalism, sales, real estate, and acting.

Meanwhile, the entrepreneur is back in the entertainment world with a new Bravo show, Dancing Queens.

Sabrina Strasser co-hosted a talk show

Dancing Queens star Sabrina Strasser has an IMDb page where it’s mentioned that she appeared in one episode of the 2013 TV series, Bomb Girls.

In addition to the acting gig, she also got an opportunity to co-host an episode of a talk show, Daytime Show (Mississauga) on Rogers TV. Meanwhile, she is all set to appear in the Bravo show, where she will be seen struggling to balance her dance passion and her family life.

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Sabrina’s storyline has been mentioned in her bio on Bravo. It reads:

“Stay-at-home mom, Sabrina finds herself at odds between her dancing and family life. In a contentious on-again, off-again relationship with her pro dancer, Stanislav Kochergin, the two are back together and Sabrina is ready to claim the top prize. Her drive to win demands her time and energy – sometimes at the expense of her children and husband, who fears that Sabrina’s hobby takes attention away from their life at home.”

Sabrina started ballroom Latin dancing as a hobby but soon started winning competitions and garnering accolades. She and her dance partner Stanislav “Stas” Kochergin won many recognitions when they used to participate in Group A (16-35 years old).

In Dancing Queens, Sabrina will be seen returning to the competition stage with Stas but in Group B (36-50 years old). One of the previews showed Stas pushing her to rehearse and not take a break, which annoyed Sabrina and she walked out of her rehearsal. Many ups and downs can be expected from the dance partners on the show.

The trailer of the Bravo series also hinted that Sabrina could be quite competitive as she called her cast mates her “frenemy.”

In her personal life, the entrepreneur is married to Miami Padel Club owner Ronnie Strasser and the couple has two daughters — Abigail and Chloe.

Dancing Queens season 1 cast members

In addition to Sabrina Strasser, the Dancing Queens season 1 cast also includes Pooja Mehta, Colette Marotto, Donnie Burch, Gaëlle Benchetrit, and Leonie Biggs.

The official synopsis of the reality TV show reads:

“Passion and glamour meet the rigorous demands of the ballroom dance competition world as a group of dancer friends juggle the realities of their personal lives with their dedication to dance. In the end, ‘all is fair in war and ballroom.’”

The reality series will revolve around the six women getting ready to enter “the world of Pro-Am dance competitions.” It means the amateur dancers will find professional dance partners and follow through with the competition.
