What is Big Brother about?
The show's fundamental concept is similar to that of other adaptations of the format, where a collection of individuals, referred to as "HouseGuests," reside together in a custom-designed dwelling that is cordoned off from the outside environment. The prize money for the competition is $500,000, or $750,000, from the 23rd season onwards, which the HouseGuests are competing to win.
The HouseGuests' activities in the house are continually monitored by live television cameras and individual audio microphones. These monitoring systems enable viewers to watch the HouseGuests' every move, from their daily routines to their strategic game moves, throughout their stay in the house. Furthermore, the personal audio microphones amplify their conversations, adding an additional layer of insight into their thoughts and feelings.
Throughout the course of the competition, the HouseGuests are required to perform various challenges and tasks, all while navigating a complex social game that involves building alliances, forming relationships, and engaging in strategic gameplay. At the end of each week, the HouseGuests participate in a live eviction ceremony, in which they vote to eliminate one of their own. The individual who is evicted is required to leave the house and forfeit their chance to win the prize money.
