The reason Kenedi Anderson abruptly left the reality TV show American Idol has not been disclosed.
Kenedi Anderson shared with her Instagram followers that she left the show due to personal reasons. However, she did not reveal the actual reason why she left the show after just four episodes. Anderson was a part of the show in its 20th season. During one of her performances, she impressed the judges and audience with her singing skills which helped her bag one of the three platinum tickets in the process. She debuted in the show in 2022 and left the show shortly after. Her sudden exit left many shocked and confused as many found her to be a strong contender who would make it for the long run in the show.
However, fate had other plans for Anderson. During one of the episodes, host Ryan Seacrest announced Anderson's sudden exit from the show after she performed Christina Perri’s “Human” for judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie.
“You might have noticed that there was no voting information during Kenedi’s performance just now,” Seacrest explained during the show. “Since we taped these shows in Hawaii earlier, Kenedi has decided to withdraw from our show for personal reasons. We send her well wishes," he added.

She did take to her Instagram handle to address her exit. Her post read, "For personal reasons, I’m unable to continue on American Idol. This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know it’s necessary. I’m so grateful to American Idol, the judges, the producers, the amazing contestants, and all the fans who have supported me. Thank you for giving me such an amazing opportunity to share my voice, chase my dreams, feel so much joy and happiness doing what I love, and making lifelong friends along the way."
