Most McDonald's locations will be open on New Year's Eve. USA TODAY, on December 30, 2024, reported that Big Mac restaurants will be open for quick snack grabs before the New Year's celebrations.
Prospective customers should be aware that some locations might operate on reduced hours to allow staff members to celebrate the Holiday with family and loved ones. One can check the company's website to find out opening hours, which can also be confirmed at the nearest location.

McDonald's to launch McValue platform in the US
In other news, McDonald's is set to launch the McValue platform in the United States in 2025. A section of the news release from the popular food chain reads:
"Next year, McDonald’s is giving customers even more ways to enjoy the food they love, for less. Starting Jan. 7, the Golden Arches will introduce its highly anticipated new value platform, McValueTM, in restaurants across the country."
The McValue deal will include fan favorites like the $5 meal, local food and drink deals, offers that are only exclusive to the app, and a Buy One, Add One for $1 offer that covers popular items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Speaking on the McValue deal, Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald's, expressed that the initiative was created to allow consumers to save on their orders and create value for themselves. According to the company newsletter, Erlinger said:
“When it comes to value, we know there’s no one-size-fits-all. We’ve worked closely with our franchisees to create a new platform that will let our customers define value on their own terms."
He added:
“From deals on their personal go-to order to universal favorites like the $5 Meal Deal, we’re excited to give fans more ways to save every time they visit one of our restaurants.”
The McValue menu items can be customized in a way that allows one to add their favorite items using the Buy One, Add One for $1 offer.
