The animated television series from the streaming platform Netflix, Sonic Prime, debuted its third season on January 11, 2024.
As the show marked its entry into its third installment, all the episodes of the series have arrived on the streaming giant.
The 22 to 25-minute episodes are quite easy to watch in one go, and as many fans have completee the season, they are speculating on what could happen next.
According to Netflix, the synopsis of Sonic Prime reads,
“When an explosive battle with Dr. Eggman shatters the universe, Sonic races through parallel dimensions to reconnect with his friends and save the world.”
Developed by Man of Action, Sonic Prime has returned for the latest season.
When the first season aired in 2022, the series was labeled as a 23-episode animated show. While the last episode of season 3 completes the episode count, it doesn’t reach a concrete, conclusive end.
That led fans to speculate about season 4 or additional episodes for the show.

As Sonic recounts his Shatterverse adventure, an unexpected event occurs. A large, mysterious shockwave arrives, which sends Sonic and his friends back into battle.
The series ends on a cliffhanger without providing any proper conclusion. That led many to speculate regarding the show’s future possibilities.
Whether it’s a proper conclusion or not, the story of the series ends in the third season. So, some fans believe there are possibilities that a fourth season won’t happen.
However, if we look at the other side of the coin, the cliffhanger has opened the gates for a future season, which led fans to speculate that a fourth season could happen.
At the moment, Netflix has not released any news regarding the ending or revival of Sonic Prime.
