While Zoe Saldana does not have a twin sister, she has two sisters, Cisely and Mariel.

Zoe Saldana is an American actress who began acting in 1999 with two TV show Law & Order episodes. Her first movie role was in Center Stage in 2000, where she played a ballet dancer. She gained recognition for her role alongside Britney Spears in the movie Crossroads in 2002.

Her big break came in 2009 when she played Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek movies and Neytiri in James Cameron's Avatar series. She also played Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, from Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2023.

Aside from these franchise roles, Saldaña starred in the science fiction film The Adam Project and the romantic drama miniseries From Scratch, both released on Netflix in 2022. In 2023, she took on the lead role as a CIA officer in the Paramount+ spy series Special Ops: Lioness.

Cisely and Mariel are Zoe Saldana's sisters. Zoe Saldana's parents are Aridio Saldaña, originally from the Dominican Republic, and Asalia Nazario, who is Dominican but also has Puerto Rican roots. Nazario used to live in the Dominican Republic with her mother, but they moved to New York to escape political problems.

Zoe, along with her two sisters, Cisely and Mariel, grew up speaking both English and Spanish with the latter the main language spoken at their home. They spent most of their early childhood in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York City. When Zoe was nine, their father sadly died in a car accident.

To make sure her daughters could go to school, their mother, Asalia, stayed in New York while sending the three sisters to the Dominican Republic to be taken care of by their late father's family. Later on, Asalia married Dagoberto Galán, who became their stepfather and is considered their true father by the sisters.

In March 2013, Saldana began going out with Marco Perego, who is an artist from Italy. Just three months later, in June 2013, they got married secretly in London. They now have twin sons, named Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana and Cy Aridio Perego-Saldana. The twins were born in November 2014. Their third son was born in February 2017.
