Former world champion Carl Froch shared some thoughts on the drunk Tyson Fury footage circulating online. In the video, the former heavyweight champion is seen stumbling and falling face-first in the street.
This has been a forgettable run for 'The Gypsy King'. Last October, he was knocked down by Francis Ngannou in the Cameroonian's first professional boxing match. Although he won the decision, the consensus among pro athletes was that 'The Predator' outboxed the former lineal heavyweight champion.
This was followed by a grueling match in Riyadh, which Ukrainian gold medalist Oleksandr Usyk won to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years. The series of afflictions on the Englishman hadn't bid its farewell yet as the drunk debacle surfaced.
Former WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch chimed in on his countryman's public display of wreckage and voiced his opinion on his YouTube show, 'Froch on Fighting'.
'The Cobra' commented:
"I hope, and when I say it I mean it genuinely from the heart, I hope he’s fine. I hope he’s coping with it because we want to see him back. Tyson Fury can bring the belts back to Britain and then we can have a few more fights before he decides to hang the gloves up.”

Tyson Fury has been candid about his troubled past
Tyson Fury's history with mental illness isn't unknown to the devout followers of the sport. The former champion has opened up multiple times about his personal anguish, depressive tendencies, and substance abuse problems. Five years ago, 'The Gypsy King' went on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and opened up about his mental problems, saying:
“I’d wake up and I think why did I wake up this morning? This is coming from a man who’ve had everything: money, fame, glory, titles, a wife, a family, kids, everything but I felt as if I had nothing. I felt there was an empty gaping hole that was just filled with gloom and doom. It was just one bad thing happening after another.”

Tyson Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch on Dec. 21. In the ring, 'The Gypsy King' is a sight to behold but whether he can hold himself up outside of it will be an interesting sight too.
