Vijender Singh is all set to face Ernest Amuzu on Saturday, which will be his tenth fight as a pro boxer. Singh has won all of his previous bouts and is looking strong to make it a Perfect 10. However, Amuzu's record is equally stellar with 23 wins out of 25 bouts and 21 of the wins have been KO's.
The bout will see Vijender defend his WBO Asia-Pacific Super Middleweight and WBO Oriental Super Middleweight titles. This is Singh's fourth fight at home while it is for the first time that Amuzu will fight in India. Home support is something that Vijender will be backing on.
Live commentary: Vijender Singh vs Ernest Amuzu: Live score and updates
There have been plenty of mind games and trash talk from both sides and it will be interesting to see whether the bout lives up to the hype. Vijender won his last bout versus Zulpikar Maimaitiali in Mumbai on August 5. Amuzu's last bout was against Gabriel Adoku, which he ended up winning comfortably.

Amuzu, however, isn't too flustered by Singh's 100% record in pro boxing. Amuzu considers himself to be a formidable opponent, he went on to say that he will leave Vijender "beaten and broken in front of his home crowd" and that he will "smash him to the body to loosen him up" and then "a right hand (from him) will knock him out".
Vijender hasn't paid much attention to the trash talking and said he is simply focused on the fight and is confident of knocking Amuzu out in 10 rounds. Vijender said, "I don't get disturbed by such trash talking one bit. They are just trying to play with my mind. Their idea is to put you under so much of pressure since the very beginning that you start to think, what will happen to you or what your opponent will do to you. So I don't read too much into such mind games and focus more on my training."
A 10th win in the 'Rajasthan Rumble' will be the perfect way to cap the year off for Singh. Here's hoping that he can emerge victorious much to the delight of the home crowd who will be cheering for him with full flow.
