A lot of the hype surrounding All Elite Wrestling in its early days has come from the main event talent the company has hired, but they've quietly assembled one of the deepest rosters in all of professional wrestling.
Sure, not everyone is going to be a star right now, but AEW has clearly built for the future and the present with a great blend of veteran talent and young up and coming superstars, and when they continue on into their second and third years, we'll really see the company flourish.
While Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, Cody, Hangman, and other top stars are going to be responsible for the early success of AEW, as their show comes around in October, expect a few other performers on the roster to steal the hearts of the crowd as well.
So sit back and read along as we look at 4 under the radar wrestlers with AEW that may surprise some people when All Elite Wrestling finally gets the ball rolling.
#4 Private Party
With The Young Bucks playing a key part in AEW, it's clear that the tag team division was always going to be a priority, and they've gone about that quite well, securing an incredible division already. With Lucha Bros, Best Friends, SCU, Angelico & Jack Evans, they've found some established teams, but one to look out for is the duo of Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy, Private Party.
They've made their name in HOG Wrestling, CZW, GCW, and others, and one only needs to look at their highlights on YouTube to see why you should be excited about them. They've got plenty of improving and growing to do, especially when compared to the aforementioned tag teams, but they're young, exciting, full of energy, and full of talent, and they'll win over the crowd whenever first unveiled by AEW.
#3 Darby Allin
As we mentioned, the talk has been about the main event scene in AEW, but if they were to bring a hardcore/mid-card division to AEW, they're loaded up with potential. For every big name like Jimmy Havoc, MJF, and Joey Janela, there's a Darby Allin, who could become a breakout star in AEW with his death-defying style and unique charisma & charm.
As you can see from the photo above, Allin is quite a unique performer, but his time in Evolve has shown that he's a very well rounded performer, and if used properly in AEW, he'll become one of the most promising young stars they have.
He works a very high-risk style, and if AEW is looking to push a more adult product on the world, Allin's unique style and character will fit perfectly, and he's one that needs to be seen to be believed.
#2 Bea Priestley
AEW is yet to land a massive name in their women's division, but they're building quite an impressive one, and with Stardom's top gaijin in Bea Priestley on board, they've got plenty of talent.
Priestley is known for her work in the UK and Japan, but she's actually from New Zealand, and while she isn't as well known as Aussies like Toni Storm or Rhea Ripley, she's every bit as talented.
With her Mortal Kombat inspired gear and persona, Priestley uses a plethora of kicks and strikes to gain the upper hand on her opponents, and if AEW can help her work on her character, they've found themselves an ace.
A lot of hardcore fans will recognize Bea from her work in WCPW/Defiant and Progress in the UK as well as Stardom and Shimmer, but she's not known by the wider wrestling fan base, but after she arrives in AEW, you won't be able to forget the name.
#1 Kip Sabian
While WWE has siphoned off plenty of the UK independent scene, there are plenty of talented performers left, and AEW has secured one of the most promising in 'Super Bad' Kip Sabian.
Sure, he's not as well known as people like Pete Dunne, Zack Sabre, Finn Balor, or even fellow AEW star Jimmy Havoc, but that's put a chip on his shoulder, and he's ready to prove the world wrong. He gets his chance at Double or Nothing in a match with another young & hungry performer in Sammy Guevara, and it's bound to be a classic between two young stars trying to prove their worth.
Sabian is a fantastic character worker with a fantastic look and athleticism, and if you aren't impressed when he faces Sammy Guevara at Double or Nothing, then you're just plain wrong. Some stars are built to be undercard performers and others have the clear potential to rise to the main event, and by this time next year, Super Bad should be near that main event level.
