The Young Bucks and the current AEW World Tag Team Champions lost the match due to some inner conflict that has built up within The Elite for the past few weeks.
Adam Page has been on a "drinking binge" that apparently didn't go down well with other members of The Elite. Page got distanced from AEW's top babyface faction in the process.
While this problem hasn't been fully addressed on AEW Dynamite, it certainly led to a point where Page went rogue on The Young Bucks. This cost them the match, and The Young Bucks weren't too happy about that incident either.
Kenny Omega & Adam Page will have to defend their Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks eventually, but until that happens, it is intriguing to see how entertaining and problematic Adam Page's drinking problem has been for The Elite since the past few weeks.
