Commentary in any sport or entertainment medium is very critical, so when AEW announced the signing of arguably the greatest announcer in wrestling history, fans were understandably excited.

We've not seen Good Old JR as a full-time announcer for years now, and even though he's gotten older, with a great team around him, this could be a major strength for All Elite Wrestling going forward.

While the 3-man commentary booths have been criticized often over the past few years, Cody likes the idea, and JR will be flanked by the promising Alex Marvez and the voice of PWG, Excalibur.

They've obviously yet to work together on a live show, but from recent Double or Nothing episodes, AEW have made it clear that the work is being put in, and if you're a big-time fan of JR, this commentary team is going to be a major plus, and a good reason to tune in.
