If you've been paying attention to Impact Wrestling over the last few months you'll already know that Impact have become very good at these crossover/partnership events, but if you haven't been following them closely, let me be the one to tell you. Impact are very good at these crossover events.

The first one I saw was Impact vs Lucha Underground live on Twitch during WrestleMania weekend and it was a blooming fantastic show with Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan and LAX vs Killshot and The Mack stealing the show.

This weekend we had Impact Wrestling Vs UK live at the UK's biggest and first wrestling convention, Wrestling MediaCon in Manchester, England. it seems to follow the same formula, Callihan in an extreme rules match of some kind and LAX proving they're one of the best tag-teams on the card against the UK's Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm.

However that's not all as Trevor Lee, Matt Sydal and Rich Swann faced off, Su Yung faced Manchester's own Lana Austin, Robbie X and Adam 'Flex' Maxted battled Lucas Steele and Jacob McCluskey and Moose and Eddie Edwards stepped foot in a ring against each other with Nathan Cruz and Justin Sysum as their respective partners.

So, let's give you the results shall we. Or you can watch it right here on Impact's Twitch

#1. Matt Sydal Vs. Rich Swann Vs. Trevor Lee

X-Division action kicks off the show
X-Division action kicks off the show

Impact kicked things with off a bang with three of the world's best Cruiserweights with Impact's X-Division stars, Rich Swann, Matt Sydal and Trevor Lee facing off in a Triple Threat match.

As expected, it was incredibly fast paced once it going (there was a small comedy section to start the match off with all three men trying to lock-up with each other at the same time and not being able to figure it out) and the high-flying action was there.

However, just as the match seemed to be building towards something big it abruptly ended with Swann pinning Trevor Lee for the victory. All three men seemed confused so I don't think this was the planned finish. From what I could see I think Sydal was supposed to break the pin attempt up but didn't make it in time.

Result: Rich Swann Def. Trevor Lee and Matt Sydal

A small error aside, this was the third match Swann had wrestled in that day as he'd previously beaten Yoh from Roppongi 3K and then finished second in the Fatal Fourway Final for RevPro's British J Cup. The guy's a workhorse.

#2. Adam 'Flex' Maxted & Robbie X Vs Jacob McCluskey and Lucas Steel

I'll be honest, the crowd were a bit deflated following the odd finish to the first match so I was concerned when this match was on next. I wasn't sure how the Impact UK faithful would take to four of the UK's lesser known wrestlers being given the spotlight, but I needn't have worried. They tore the house down.

This was a great tag-team match with Robbie X in particularly standing for his high-flying ability, but McCluskey's no aerial slouch either. Maxted hit a great Blockbuster and Springblade and Steel was a powerhouse throughout. But, it was Robbie X who would pick up the ring with a running Moonsault

Result: Adam 'Flex' Maxted and Robbie X Def. Lucas Steel and Jacob McCluskey

All four men came out looking great which was exactly what Impact wanted. Plus they recreated the amazing Ricochet Adam Cole Super Kick Moonsault spot from NXT TakeOver so I got to see it live, which was cool!

#3. Lana Austin Vs. Su Yung

The Undead Bride vs local pride here

Lana Austin was the hometown hero here, but we've all watched enough WWE to know what happens to a homecoming wrestler, especially if they're going up against former Knockouts Champion 'The Undead Bride' Su Yung.

Austin started the match off well, much to the crowds delight and got a huge reaction when she used her derrière to plant Yung in the face, and received a huge patch of face paint on her bottom. This angered Yung though who got very physical very quickly, bringing a chair into proceedings.

The finish came when Yung threw chair into the ring distracting the referee. This allowed her to mist Austin in the face and then follow up with the Panic Switch to pick up the victory.

Result: Su Yung Def. Lana Austin

Austin may not have won, but just like the four men before this match, she looked like a star and took one hell of a beating from Su Yung.

#4. LAX Vs. Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm - Impact World Tag Team Championship Match

Is this the best match I've seen in a long time?
Is this the best match I've seen in a long time?

LAX had a busy Sunday as they also popped up during the second day of the British J Cup for RevPro taking on Ring Kampf (Walter and Timothy Thatcher) and then they had to defend their titles against two of Britain's finest, and mostly unsung, wrestlers Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm.

Where do I even begin with this match? You know what! I can't even start to put into words what happened in this match from start to finish so do yourself a favor and watch it. Impact have uploaded it to Twitch and you can watch just this match here. Go and do it now.

Needless to say, it was somewhat of a banger that ended with Santana and Ortiz putting Fleisch away with a high-risk double-team manoeuvre.

Result: LAX Def. Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm to retain the Impact World Tag Team Titles

After the match all four men showed each other incredible amounts of respect. It was a special moment if I'm honest.

#5. Eli Drake Vs. Joe Hendry

Bizarrely, Eli Drake was the one who received a warm welcome from the Manchester, Wrestling MediaCon crowd while Joe Henry was the one who was booed for interrupting Drake's usual verbal schtick. Even a rare live performance from Hendry couldn't win the crowd over.

The pair put on a good match, but given what they had just followed, it was a bit of a welcome change of pace and the crowd ate up everything Eli Drake did, happily chanting Eli Drake along every time he did his pointing thing. Hendry was the victor on the day though, stealing it slightly by reversing the Gravy Train into a roll-up

Result: Joe Hendry Def. Eli Drake

#6. Moose & Nathan Cruz Vs. Eddie Edwards and Justin Sysum

World of Sport Wrestling and Impact Wrestling collided here

Two rival pairs from two different promotions, World of Sport Wrestling and, of course, Impact Wrestling teamed up here and put on an incredibly entertaining match. Moose being the bad guy is a revelation and Sysum is a literal star.

Moose ends up walking out on his partner Nathan Cruz after both are cornered by a Kendo Stick wielding Eddie Edwards, leaving poor Cruz to take a stiff shot from the weapon and then a high-flying move from Sysum to put him away.

Result: Eddie Edwards and Justin Sysum Def. Nathan Cruz and Moose

#7. Jimmy Havoc Vs. Sami Callihan - Barbed Wire Baseball Bat Deathmatch

Havoc was the right word for it!
Havoc was the right word for it!

You're not a real wrestling fan until you've seen Jimmy Havoc bleed profusely from the head and tonight I got to see it happen live as he and Callihan did some awful, awful things to each other for my entertainment.

All manner of nasty things were involved such as staple guns, steel chairs, drill bits, lemons and a liberal amount of thumb tacks. It was the thumb tacks that proved to be Havoc's undoing as he attempted a bare-footed double stop but missed, landing in the tacks. This allowed Callihan the opportunity to put Havoc away.

Result: Sami Callihan Def. Jimmy Havoc
