What's the story
Earlier this afternoon, a rally was held featuring All Elite Wrestling representatives, which included AEW President, Tony Khan, AEW Executives Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Brandi Rhodes.
Various announcements were made, including the official signings of Chris Jericho, PAC, Britt Baker, Penelope, Billy Gunn (as Producer), Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky.
In case you didn't know...
Tony Khan is also the president of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. He became involved with All Elite Wrestling through various meetings and negotiations with Cody and Brandi Rhodes to become the company president and financial backer.
The heart of the matter
During the rally, Khan was interviewed by WrestlingINC representative and managing editor, Nick Hausman. Khan was asked about the AEW roster in terms of what he wants to do with the talent, along with the possibility of offering the wrestlers health insurance.
"Different people, depending on their level of responsibility within the company, will have different deals," Khan said. "And I think that there's a great opportunity for people to gain full-time employment in this company, not just as a wrestler, but also in the front office.
And I think that there were already a lot of people that were very integral in the production today, and getting all these people here, and putting on, what I think, was an exciting first night for us. We already have a lot of people involved and we'll definitely be taking care of our employees."
What's next
All Elite Wrestling will hold its first official show on May 25 2019, live from Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand with "Double or Nothing".
