What's the story?
Just before their big Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party event, All Elite Wrestling made a pre-emptive big announcement on Twitter to kick things off! Lucha Libre AAA and AEW will be teaming up going forward!
In case you didn't know...
The announcement between AAA and AEW is one that we expected at Sportskeeda, as we reported that several top independent promotions were looking to head into a partnership with the new AEW promotion. As it happens AAA ended up coming true, so we'll need to wait and see for Wrestle-1, PWG and DDT.

AAA are a long established Mexican Lucha Libre promotion that has been running for 27 years. Some of their current stars include Fenix, Pentagon, Dr. Wagner, Texano Jr and La Parka. It remains to be seen which AAA names we'll see on the AEW roster.
The heart of the matter
All Elite Wrestling made the big partnership announcement with AAA roughly an hour before their Double or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party kicked off, with the following tweet and video from AAA General Manager Dorian Roldan.
This is the second major partnership AEW have announced as they announced a partnership with Chinese promotion oWe, with high-flying stable 'Strong Hearts' joining the AEW Roster.
What's next?
AEW teaming up with a Chinese and a Mexican promotion is an exciting prospect, and I'd imagine there are a few more surprise partnerships yet to be announced. Obviously, this is a great thing for fans of Professional Wrestling, and for AEW, who are going to have an incredibly diverse roster.
