#1 Gavin McGavin vs. Mick Moretti
The EPW Heavyweight Championship was in dispute in the main event. Gavin McGavin successfully retained his title after an extremely difficult duel that lasted 32 minutes and 16 seconds.
The start of the match was even, although then the dominance was on the part of Moretti. The key to McGavin's victory was concentrating his attacks on his opponent's left leg with numerous maneuvers, especially with Ankle Locks.
Although it was difficult for him to stand, Moretti made a German Suplex standing on one foot and performed an unpredictable Suicide Dive. After a German Suplex followed by a Dragon Suplex, Moretti seemed to recover, but Gavin regained ground and didn't stop insisting with the Ankle Lock.
Moretti carried out the Arm Trap Headlock Driver, but during the process he accidentally hit the referee. This was taken advantage of by McGavin, who attacked the left leg of Moretti with a stick and followed with a reinforced Ankle Lock. The pain was unbearable for Moretti and McGavin won the victory by submission.
After the match, Michael Morleone interrupted McGavin's celebration and invoked his rematch clause for the EPW Heavyweight Championship. So McGavin and Morleone will meet again at EPW Goldrush on April 6.
It’s important to remember that McGavin won the title after defeating Morleone in a Steel Cage Match at EPW Vendetta in August 2018.
