Brian Cage and Matt Sydal battled it out for the X Division title

One thing that instantly stood out to me in this match, was just how much Don Challis sold the history of the X Division title. The X Division title has been an integral part of the company's history, and referencing all of the previous winners while the belt was being defended on such a big stage really gave it a sense of prestige.

As for the match itself, it was a good mid-card match that went by at a nice tempo. The difference in size between Sydal and Cage provided an entertaining mix of styles in the ring, and the finishing stages featured some nice exchanges and some well-timed near falls.

The finish itself, which saw Sydal botch a shooting star press, was difficult to watch, but it will be interesting to see what Cage does now that he has his hands on the X Division belt.
