Following these two segments, we have a quick interview session with Johnny Impact. He tells the world that he's a fighting champion and Killer Kross went about things the wrong way in terms of asking for a championship match. He promises that Killer Kross will experience some "Starship Pain" for his efforts.
Johnny Impact (c) vs Killer Kross - Impact World Championship

The match starts with Johnny Impact attempting a Cross Armbreaker but to no avail. Kross is able to connect with an Alabama Slam in return. Killer Kross positions Johnny Impact in the corner then hoists him up on the top turnbuckle.
Kross attempts a top rope Belly-to-Back Suplex, but Johnny fights back with some back elbow shots to send Kross down to the mat. Moose is at ringside, as he attempts to distract Johnny Impact. The referee sees this and immediately kicks Moose out of the arena, as the crowd erupts.
Kross connects with a forearm shot, as both men exchange a series of forearm shots to each other. Johnny runs and climbs to the top turnbuckle, but is taken out by Kross in quick fashion. Johnny Impact goes crashing down to the arena floor.
Kross exits the ring and then slams Johnny face first into the ring apron, then both men enter the ring. Kross connects with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, famously used by The Great Muta.
Kross sends Johnny into the corner, then connects with a series of knee lifts to the midsection. Johnny fights back, then jumps to the top rope but is quickly taken back down to the ring mat with a huge slam. Kross goes for a Vertical Suplex but is reversed into a roll-up pin attempt by Johnny Impact for just a two count.
Johnny Impact charges at Killer Kross and connects with the Shining Wizard. Kross gets back up to his feet, as he tries to regain control of the match with an Alabama Slam. Johnny counters this into a Piledriver for a two count. Both men quickly get back up to their feet as Johnny hits a DDT and yet gets another two count after the pin attempt.
Johnny Impact hits a beautiful Spinning Neckbreaker and tries to go in for the cover but gets a two count yet again for his efforts. Johnny takes Kross outside the ring and hits a Springboard Dive, but gets caught by Killer Kross.
Both men then continue to fight it out all the way up the rampway to the stage entrance area. Kross then hoists Johnny up over his shoulders in a Razor's Edge like maneuver, charges toward the ring and tosses Johnny Impact inside the ring over the top rope. Killer Kross enters the ring and covers Johnny Impact but can only get a near fall.
Kross applies the Lion Tamer submission, famously used by Chris Jericho. Johnny is able to fight out of the hold and reaches the ropes. Johnny scores a pin reversal but can only get a two count out of sheer desperation.
Johnny Impact sends Kross to the top rope, then dropkicks Kross down to the apron. At this point, Johnny Impact runs and connects with a Shining Wizard to send him off the apron, then a Double Footstomp for good measure to the floor.
The two men eventually go back inside the ring. Johnny Impact climbs to the top rope and hits the Countdown to Impact Elbow Drop and goes for the cover but can only get a two count. Killer Kross fakes an injury as he suckers Johnny Impact in for a Gutwrench Powerbomb.
Killer Kross goes in for the chokehold but gets countered with a series of kicks by Impact until Kross goes down. Johnny Impact goes in for the Starship Pain out of the corner and connects beautifully. He goes for the cover and scores the three count. Johnny Impact defeats Killer Kross and retains the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.
