What’s the story?
Former NWA National Heavyweight Champion and Impact wrestler Braxton Sutter has announced his departure from Impact Wrestling through Social media.
In case you didn’t know…
Jesse Guilmette made his Impact Wrestling debut at the One Night Only Pay per view in 2015 under the ring name Pepper Parks. Subsequently, he returned in 2016 as Braxton Sutter and was hugely involved with Mike Bennett – Maria Kanellis storyline.
Sutter is the husband of Allie who is also an impact performer. He has also made sporadic appearances in WWE, CZW and Ring of Honour.
The heart of the matter
The 37-year-old, Braxton Sutter on April 26, 2018, took Twitter to announce his departure from the Anthem owned Impact Wrestling. He thanked the company for giving him a contract at the age of 35.
He also conveyed his gratitude for hiring his wife Allie, who is the current Impact Knockouts Champion. It has to be noted that Sutter wrestled his last match against Moose which aired last night on television.
Here’s the Twitter announcement:
What’s next?
From his Twitter profile, we can clearly see that Braxton Sutter has returned back to his previous ring name Pepper Parks. So it is evident that he will be moving back to the Indie circuit to pursue his remaining career. Meanwhile, Allie’s status with the Impact Wrestling is still unknown and the rumour mill suggests that she will be staying with the company.
Author’s take
Many stars have been leaving the Impact Wrestling in recent years and Sutter took the perfect decision to follow them. Because he never had a single title run with the company and mostly performed as a jobber. He briefly earned spotlight in 2017 when he was inserted in a storyline along with his wife Allie and Laura Van Ness. After that, he never got going. I believe that he may earn back his reputation in the Independent circuit.
