#11. Jay White vs Kazuchika Okada- (IWGP Heavyweight Championship)
Prior to the start of the match, the history of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship was displayed on the screen, as former champions such as Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, AJ Styles, and Kenny Omega got huge pops from the MSG crowd. Kazuchika Okada came out to a huge reception and Jay White equally got the adequate amount of heat from the crowd as well.
The match started out at a very slow pace as White seemed to take things very slowly in the early stages and Okada received louder pops from the crowd by the minute. Gedo, as expected, tried to interfere into the match and did help in White connecting with a brutal suplex into the barrier. White started working on his submission game but Okada took out the champ with a massive dropkick from the apron to the outside. Gedo tried to stick in his nose once again but this time, Okada took care of business and hit a Crossbody in order to take out both Gedo and White on the outside.0
The action was taken back into the ring, as Okada dropkicked White into the corner and did the iconic Rainmaker pose with the camera zooming out on the entire Madison Square Garden. White, however, didn't let Okada connect with the Rainmaker as he dropped his weight on the ground and got in a quick counter by hitting the Kiwi Crusher for a close two-count.
The match eventually picked up the pace once again as Okada landed a perfect piledriver and within minutes, the two men started exchanging elbows and uppercuts. White started chopping Okada's chest so much that it turned bloody red but 'The Rainmaker' fought back and landed his trademark dropkick, however, Gedo interfered once again and allowed White to hit the brutal sleeper suplex.
However, the champion couldn't keep his resiliency in check as he was caught by a spinning Rainmaker for a shocking two-count with White surprisingly kicking out of it. After a bit, White caught Okada with a Blade Runner out of nowhere but couldn't capitalize as his body completely gave out and 'The Switchblade' couldn't go for the cover.
With the match hitting the 30-minute mark, Gedo interfered again, allowing White to hit a gruesome low-blow, as referee Red Shoes ejected Gedo from ringside. In the closing stages, the two men exchanged some hard hitting moves, with Okada connecting with another one of his Rainmakers, however, White was resilient and countered almost everything. But, much to Okada's credit, he caught White with another gruesome tombstone and connected with one final Rainmaker to pick up the win and win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship for the fifth time.
The show ended with Okada as your new IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
