Kid is a well established luchador in Mexico, making several appearances for AAA and Brown is a young wrestler from Texas who is the current NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion, although it has yet to be officially recognized as a title by Corgan and Lagana's NWA.

The two put on a frantic high-flying match that absolutely irritated Cornette on commentary which was particularly irritating for me. The pair hit a Canadian Destroyer Piledriver spot and Cornette went positively nuts about it, which sort of buried the match and the effort from the two guys.

Barrett picked up the win however with a running knee to secure a huge victory over the AAA star. If they are going to honor Barrett's current NWA Title reign then this is a good way to establish him.
