#5 Hirooki Goto

The signs of tension within Goto began at the Cow Palace a few months back. The usually zen samurai found himself on the edge, especially when confronting new rival Jeff Cobb and his ROH Television championship. Goto lost it against the banter wrestler, calling out how he didn't have any title to boast off.
Luckily for Goto he does have a championship now, but it seems to play into being a placeholder for Will Ospreay once the Brit is ready for Wrestle Kingdom 13. If that is the case and Goto does lose his NEVER Openweight championship to Kota Ibushi at the World Tag League finals, it will continue to affirm his status as a 'choker'. Something that's definitely got to weigh in on Goto.
Hirooki Goto joined CHAOS in 2016 at the on-set of Kazuchika Okada's ascension as the sole Ace of New Japan. What was going to become a turning tide of fortunes hasn't resulted in much and while it would seem odd to see Goto to turn his back on CHAOS, playing the treacherous Ronin might just give Goto the boost to take it to the next level.
